Equity Arc, the national organization uniting all the Pathways programs throughout the US, remains dedicated to supporting young musicians from historically underrepresented communities in classical music. With a mission to expand access and opportunity, Equity Arc offers the Common Summer Study Application.

Common Summer Study Application

Equity Arc has partnered with 25 intensive summer music programs—an increase from previous years—to simplify the application process for students. Through the Common Summer Study Application, students can apply to multiple programs using a single application. Equity Arc also waives application fees for all eligible participants.

Eligibility

Eligible students can apply directly from the Equity Arc website or through Acceptd. The application covers all 25 partner programs, with flexibility for students to tailor their submissions.

Streamlined Application Process

Equity Arc’s Common Application includes the following features:

  • One-Time Submission: Students can use the same audition videos to apply to all programs within the appropriate repertoire list.
  • Auto-Fill Functionality: Once the student completes the initial application, their answers automatically populate for subsequent applications.
  • Suggested Excerpt List: A curated list of recommended audition excerpts is available on the website to guide students.

  • Seek Advice: Collaborate with teachers or mentors for constructive feedback.

Deadlines

Each partner program has its own age requirements and specific application deadlines. Deadlines range from as early as December 20, 2024, to as late as April 20, 2025. Some programs accept applications on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to review the deadlines for their chosen programs carefully and apply as early as possible.
