As spring unfolds, we are excited to share where our talented 10th and 11th grade CMPI students will be spending their summer in 2026. These programs represent some of the most respected music festivals and training institutes in the country, and we are incredibly proud of our students for earning places in such competitive environments.

ARIA International Summer Academy (South Hadley, Massachusetts)
A performance-focused program emphasizing solo repertoire, competition preparation, and frequent performance opportunities.

Boston University Tanglewood Institute – BUTI (Lenox, Massachusetts)
One of the nation’s premier summer music programs, offering conservatory-level training and performance opportunities at the historic Tanglewood campus.

Brevard Music Center (Brevard, North Carolina)
A comprehensive summer institute offering orchestral, chamber, and solo performance opportunities with a strong emphasis on artistic development.

Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (Burlington, Vermont)
A program that combines chamber music study with solo performance, providing mentorship from professional musicians in a collaborative setting.

Interlochen Arts Camp (Interlochen, Michigan)
A world-renowned arts camp offering a comprehensive music curriculum alongside a vibrant, multidisciplinary artistic community.

Juilliard Summer Music (New York City, New York)
A selective program offering students the opportunity to study with Juilliard faculty while experiencing conservatory-level training in New York City.

Kinhaven Music School (Weston, Vermont)
A renowned chamber music program focused on intensive rehearsal and performance in a supportive, non-competitive environment that emphasizes musical collaboration.

Lutheran Summer Music (Minneapolis, MN)
A values-based program combining high-level musical training with community, leadership development, and faith-centered experiences.

Madeline Island Chamber Music (Madeline Island, Wisconsin)
An immersive chamber music program set in a retreat-like environment, focused on deep musical collaboration and artistic exploration.

Meadowmount School of Music (Westport, New York)
A highly respected program known for its rigorous practice expectations and focus on technical mastery and individual growth.

Music@Menlo (Atherton, California)
An internationally recognized chamber music festival and institute featuring intensive training, coaching, and performance alongside world-class artists.

New England Conservatory – Summer Chamber Music Young Artist Program (Boston, Massachusetts)
A prestigious program that provides advanced chamber music training with NEC faculty, emphasizing ensemble artistry and professional-level performance.

Sphinx Performance Academy (Boulder, Colorado)
A full-scholarship program dedicated to developing young Black and Latino classical musicians through rigorous training, mentorship, and performance.

Sounding Point Academy (Los Angeles, California)
An intensive violin program at the Colburn School for advanced students to develop technique and master critical violin skills.

Yellow Barn Music Festival (Putney, Vermont)
An artist-centered program that fosters creativity, collaboration, and exploration through chamber music and innovative programming.

These programs provide immersive musical experiences that go far beyond traditional instruction. Students will engage in intensive study, collaborate with peers from around the world, and work closely with distinguished faculty and performers. Many of these festivals emphasize chamber music, artistic independence, and high-level performance opportunities—key components of CMPI’s mission to develop thoughtful, expressive musicians.

Just as importantly, these experiences foster personal growth. Students return with increased confidence, deeper musical insight, and a stronger sense of artistic identity. They also bring back new ideas and inspiration that enrich our entire CMPI community.
